Drums Girls and Dangerous Pie Page 70-85

In these few pages of Drums Girls and Dangerous Pie Jeffery was still very sick from his chemotherapy. Steven did all he could to stay positive about Jeffery, but it was very hard for him. He continued to drum to get his mind off things, but every time he saw his brother puke it seemed like he was starting over. Stevens mom seemed surprisingly calm about Jeffery .

Drums Girls and Dangerouse Pie Page 53-70

Jeffery went to Philadelphia with his mother to start his first try with chemotherapy. Other than having his dad around, Steven was all by himself at home. Being so worried, Steven completely stopped doing schoolwork and just worried about his brother. He started to try to make himself feel better by thinking that the whole thing was just a mistake, but when they arrived from the hospital he found out that it definitely wasn’t a mistake. The first thing Jeffery said to Steven was a very nice greeting, then he puked all over Steven’s shoes.

Most Dangerous Game 25% to 35%

As Mr. Rainsford ran through the forest trying to look for some civilization he became very tired. Just after he stopped looking he heard a gun shot again, but this time very close. As he walked around the corner he saw a huge castle, and had to try to go in. (This is when I stopped reading, to make a good cliffhanger for myself!)

Most Dangerouse Game 17% - 25%

As Mr. Reinsford woke up the next morning washed up on the shore of an island he was fairly worried. Although Reinsford is a hunter and is very good with the wilderness he was frightened because he hasn't been stranded in a survival situation before. He keeps hearing pistol shots in the distance, and that means there's someone else somewhere on the island. He wont stop looking until he finds the people or person.

The Most Dangerous Game 0% - 17%

As Mr. Reinsford sat in a chair in the darkness of the night smoking his pipe he heard a loud bang. As a hunter he was very curious to see what was out there. Leaning over to try to hear the noise better he fell into the water and had to swim to shore.

90%-100% Brians Winter

As Brian slowly tried to fall asleep he heard a loud clashing sound. He thought to himself he would find out what it was in the morning. When he awoke the next day he packed his bags and started off on a walk to try to find out what the sound was in the forest. Slowly, as Brian walked he saw a streight line of snow packed into the ground. He thought he would fallow the path so he did. It apeared that it was a family that lived in the wilderness for 3 months out of the year to do trapping for a living. Every six weeks an airplane would arive and resuply these people. Brian took the next plane back!

85%-90% Brians Winter

Brian was awakened in the middle of the night to see a huge bear growling and looking down at his face. The bear smelled the food Brian was cooking and was hungry. Brian's shelter was somewhat mangled but it wasn't anything Brian couldn't fix. Brian's shelter was working great and keeping him warm.

75%-85%- Brians Winter

Brian is still working on making lower body cloths for the winter. He is having some trouble making the shoes becaue of the soles. He is trring to find a material tht he can use for the soles that isn't too heavy bud will keep hs feet warm. Brian also needs a snow boot he can run in. Therefor it can't be too heavy.

65% to 75%- Brians Winter

Brian prepared very well for winter. There were a few thing that Brian forgot, one of those things is lower body. He had prepared very well for winter thinking of coats and hats but not thinking of legs and feet. Brian is preparing for winter by making himslef some snowpants and snowboots. He couldnt live in the snow with shorts.

55- 65%- Brians Winter

Because Brian got frightened the last night he decided to make some more warm clothing. Going to sleep was tough for Brian that night because he was afraid he would wake up freezing. He realized that when he sleeps farther back into his shelter it is warmer. Brian thinks he is well prepared for winter now but I believe differently.

Brians Winter 45 to 55%

Brian had his first cold night. Brian went to sleep fairly comfortable, but woke up in the middle of the night to see his fire had gone out. Once Brian got his fire going again he was fairly comfortable again. Now being worried Brian has lots of recources to gather.

Brians winter 39%- 45%

In these few pages of Brians winter, Brian went hunting. As I said in my last post Brian made a new bow that is bigger, made just for big game. Just so he could test the bow, Brian wanted to test it on anything he could find. Brian found a rabbit and shot at it. The new bow went directly through the bunny and killed it instantly. Now the test was to see if it would kill something much bigger.

Brians Winter 25% - 39% 10/14/10

In this chapter of Brian's winter he mostly just prepared for the upcoming season. Brian made a new bow and arrow that is capable of killing bigger game. He also made a vest out of all the dried rabbit skins hes been saving. Right now I think Brian is thinking winter is going to be a piece of cake, but when it comes it will be much harder than he thought.

Brians Winter 0- 30% (on Kindle)

In the first quarter of Brians winter a few important things happened. One thing was his encounter with a bear. Brian almost got attacked by a bear, and the bear ate most of Brians food. Brian is now realizing that it is getting cold and the summer is ending. This means Brian is going to have to work hard to survive in the below freezing conditions.

In these few pages of Drums Girls and Dangerous Pie Jeffery was very happy. Although Jeffery just got informed he has cancer he was delighted to find out he was getting oatmeal for breakfast. Oatmeal is one of Jeffrey's  favorite foods for breakfast, and Steven was nice enough to make him some considering Jeffery was just diagnosed with cancer.

            In this chapter of Drums Girls and Dangerous Pie a big event change happened. Steven came home from school in a good mood until his mom started to talk about Jeffery. When Jeffery came home from the hospital it turns out that his bleeding nose wasn’t the biggest problem. Jeffery had a bad case of cancer and that’s why his nose wouldnt stop bleeding.

Steven went to school very worried about his brother Jeffery. In the last chapter Jeffery fell off a chair and hit his face on the counter. At Steven's school there is a free period where you are allowed to do any of the schools activities. In this period Steven decided to go to the music room and play his drums all by himself. Not knowing people were around Steven did a really cool drum solo and impressed lots of people around and got a big applause.

Fun Reading

In the next Chapter of Drums Girls and Dangerous Pie Jeffery got a really bad nosebleed by falling off a kitchen stool. Jeffery’s parents got really mad at him. His dad was very worried about his nose while driving him to school. Jeffery was still complaining about his stinky drumsticks!

In the next chapter of Drums Girls and Dangerous Pie some pretty interesting things happened. Steven came home to another big surprise. His little brother was making dangerous pie again all over the kitchen floor using Stevens drum sticks. Steven was not very happy about this and got mad at his little brother again.

Fun Reading 9/14/10

The book I am reading for fun is called Drums Girls & Dangerous Pie. Although I only got through the first chapter the book jumped right into the story. The main character is Steven, a fourteen year old boy that loves playing the drums, but can't stand his little brother. One summer, Steven saved all his money up to go to a drumming camp to meet his favorite drummer, Carter Beauford. (Carter is The Dave Mathews Band drummer.) At this camp he got a pair of his drum stick sighed by him. One day Steven came home from school to see that his little brother was scrambling eggs and making what he called the dangerous pie with Stevens favorite drum sticks!
